Generational (2022)

“Generational curses are meant to be broken.”

This artistic work employs mediums such as plaster, yarn, and thread. This piece depicts different forms of the same plaster mold wrapped in thin red thread. The molds are all facing different directions but are all connected through different layers of thread and distressed yarn. The molds are restrained and contained within the bounds of the red thread, this is to display trauma and how it consumes us. As you follow the path of the thread you see it is passed from being to being, some more than others. Once finally at the base, the being is free of thread.
