Plastic is Forever (2022)

“Plastic is forever and ever and ever”

This artistic work employs mediums such as chicken wire, plaster, and plastic water bottles. The wire is bent into a bin type of shape which holds the plaster and bottles. The water bottles are warped and melted into shapes that no longer make them useful. The plaster is molded into a solid water bottle shape which does not allow for water to be held within. This project signifies that water bottles, like many other plastics are not bidegradable. Recrylcing is only an option for some plastics but for the rest, they are on earth for as long as 450 years.
